Overlays & chat bot, answered

Are the overlays included with Klaxon, or an extra cost?
They're included with your Klaxon subscription — there are no separate per-overlay fees. The sub counter and Twitch goal bar come with Tier 1; the Now Playing, social bar, spin wheel, emote rain and tombola overlays — plus the chat bot — come with Tier 2. Klaxon's posting features are free to start when you follow on Twitch, and the overlays unlock when you subscribe. Every overlay is a drop-in OBS browser source.
How do I add a Klaxon overlay to OBS?
Each overlay gives you a unique URL. In OBS add a new Browser source, paste the URL, set the size, and it appears on your scene. There's nothing to install — the overlay updates itself live while you stream.
Can I name my own Twitch chat bot?
Yes. You connect a free Twitch account of your own as the bot, so every command, timer and shoutout posts under your bot's name — not a shared, generic bot. It answers your !commands, posts timers on a schedule, and runs shoutouts.
What overlays does Klaxon have?
A Now Playing overlay (Spotify or Last.fm), a Twitch follower/sub goal bar, a live sub counter, a shared spin wheel, emote rain, a prize tombola, a follow-me social bar, and a shoutout overlay that plays a clip of the person you shout out.
Does the shoutout play a clip?
Yes. The !so command posts a shoutout with the person's last-played game under your bot's name, and plays one of their Twitch clips on your overlay — a built-in, automatic shoutout that works straight from chat.
Which emotes does the emote rain overlay support?
Twitch emotes plus 7TV and BetterTTV (BTTV) emotes. When chat uses an emote it rains down on your overlay — including your channel's third-party emotes, not just Twitch's own.
