Klaxon — Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Klaxon, a tool that lets you compose a post once and publish it to your own connected social media accounts (such as X, Facebook, Instagram, Bluesky, Threads, TikTok and YouTube), schedule posts, view analytics about them, add on-stream OBS overlays, and run an optional chat bot in your Twitch channel. By creating an account or using Klaxon, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that happens under your account.
• You must provide accurate information and be old enough to hold accounts on the networks you connect (at least 13, or older where a network requires it).
• Access is granted by the operator of this Klaxon instance and may be tied to a subscription or tester allow-list; access can be changed or withdrawn.

Connecting third-party accounts

When you connect a social network, you authorise Klaxon to act on your behalf on that network — only to perform the actions you request, such as publishing a post or reading your public follower and engagement figures for analytics. Your use of each network remains subject to that network's own terms and policies, and you are responsible for complying with them. You can disconnect any account at any time.

If you set up the chat bot, you connect a dedicated Twitch account and authorise Klaxon to read your channel's chat and send messages — the commands, timers and shoutouts you configure — on your behalf. You are responsible for that bot account and for the messages it is set up to send, and for keeping its use within Twitch's terms.

Your content

You keep all ownership of the text, images and video you create and publish through Klaxon. You grant Klaxon only the limited permission needed to process and deliver that content to the networks you choose. You are solely responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the rights to publish it. The same applies to any chat-bot commands, timers and overlay text you configure. Clips and other material shown by the shoutout feature remain the property of their owners; you are responsible for using that feature in line with Twitch's terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Klaxon to:

• publish content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or that breaches the rules of any connected network;
• send spam, or post at a volume or in a manner that abuses a network's API or rate limits;
• use the chat bot or overlays to send spam, harassing, or otherwise rule-breaking messages in Twitch chat, or to shout out or display content you do not have the right to use;
• attempt to access other users' data, disrupt the service, or bypass its security or access controls;
• impersonate others or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.

Accounts that breach these rules may be suspended or removed.

Service availability

Klaxon is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Features may change, and third-party networks may alter or restrict their APIs, which can affect posting or analytics. We do not guarantee that every post will be delivered, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Klaxon and its operator are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Termination

You may stop using Klaxon and delete your account at any time from within the app, which permanently removes your associated data (see the Privacy Policy). The operator may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or where required to protect the service or its users.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above; continuing to use Klaxon after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
